Onepoto Awhina is the Northcote Community House which is run as an Incorporated Society with IRD Charitable Status. It aims to provide support to lessen the impact of stress on individuals, families and the wider community. In order to do this, Onepoto Awhina encourages active involvement and participation in the community and helps establish social networks for individuals of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.

The Community House is located on Pearn Crescent behind the Northcote shopping center. With its gently sloping pathway, it provides easy access for the disabled, elderly and families with young children. It is situated adjacent to a reserve with a playground for children. There are also excellent parking facilities.

Onepoto Awhina is able to be used by the community as a venue to hold meetings, run programs and host events at an affordable cost.  There are 4 spaces available and 2 kitchen areas.                  As a Community House it also provides a range of services. These include a Licensed Early Childhood Education Centre, Aged Project, Community Wellbeing Project, Whanau Support and Youth Project.
